Before I ever built a website, I spent over 20 years in restaurant management. Running a multi-million dollar restaurant taught me what owners deal with every day: payroll, staffing, customers, and never enough hours.
I started Back Valley Creative in 2020. Since then I’ve worked as a UX designer at Sartorius, a global life-science company, where I learned to design around how real people use a site. Today I’m a project manager at a digital marketing agency, leading website builds for contractors, law firms, and medical offices. Now I’m taking on a small number of local clients of my own.
Every project is led by me, start to finish. When a project needs extra hands, like photography, copywriting, or development support, I bring in specialists I trust, and I stay your point of contact. I live in Statesville with my husband Brett.
Why "Back Valley"?
I used to live on Back Valley Road in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. I think of the name the way winemakers think about terroir: where something grows shapes what it becomes. Your business is the same. Your town, your customers, and your years of work make you who you are, and your website should show it.
